Rainy Day Fun

I am always looking for new ways to incorporate learning into our everyday play. This activity was fun, easy, inexpensive, and provided lots of different opportunities for learning.

Items Needed:
Toilet Paper Roll
Shapes cut out of cardboard
Hot Glue Gun
Paint
Paper
Paint Brush (optional)

Draw the shapes on cardboard, cut them out and glue them to the toilet paper roll. The original plan was to let my child roll the toilet paper roll in the paint and then roll it on the paper but he wanted to "use Mommy's brush!" So he painted the shapes instead which worked just as well. Let your child be creative and do it their way.

Telling me his shapes

Just ONE of the masterpieces he created that day. This activity was so fun we had to do it more than once!

What is your go-to activity for rainy days?
